Terms of Service

1. The service

Al Wasfa is a marketplace for chef recipes. Foodies may browse teasers and, after purchase, subscription, free access, or as the recipe author, unlock full instructions, amounts, and masterclass video. Chefs may publish listings, set prices in IQD, and offer subscription plans.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Catalog content is provided by chefs; we do not guarantee that a dish will match your taste, dietary needs, or local ingredients.

2. Accounts and Google Sign-In

You must provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. Choose Foodie or Chef when you sign up; Chef Studio is for chef accounts.

If you use Continue with Google, you authorize us to receive your Google email, name, and profile photo solely to create or sign in to your Al Wasfa account, as described in the Privacy Policy. You must have the right to use that Google account.

3. Purchases, subscriptions, and payments

Prices are in IQD. Checkout uses third-party processors (such as Amwal and Zain Cash). Their terms apply to the payment step. Access is granted after we confirm payment. Refunds, if any, are handled case by case according to gateway rules and applicable law; contact us promptly if a charge looks wrong.

Subscriptions extend access to a chef’s eligible recipes while the plan is active. Cancelling a pending order is available only before completion, where the product allows it.

4. Chef content and licenses

Chefs keep ownership of their recipes and media, and grant Al Wasfa a license to host, display, and deliver them to users who are allowed to view them. You must only upload content you have the right to use. We may remove content that is unlawful, infringing, unsafe, or breaks these Terms.

Buyers receive a personal license to use a purchased or unlocked recipe for household cooking. They may not resell, republish, or scrape the gated instructions or videos.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no scraping behind paywalls, no malware, no impersonation, no posting illegal or harmful content, and no interfering with other users or our systems. The assistant is for cooking help on our catalog; do not use it to generate unlawful content.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is.” Cooking involves risk; you are responsible for food safety and allergies. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Al Wasfa is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for amounts above what you paid us for the relevant order in the three months before the claim.

7. Termination

You may stop using Al Wasfa at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or create risk. Provisions that should survive (including licenses already granted, payment records, and limitation of liability) remain in effect.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq. Courts of Iraq have jurisdiction, without limiting any non-waivable consumer rights you may have.
